want to get rich quick? Or cure a disease through alternative healing? Then think twice before visiting a friendly dukun (shaman). Why? Because it can molest you in the "treatment" and then charge you for his special service.

With her long straight hair, construction worker Budiyono (40) resembles the stereotypical dukun portrayed on emissions of Indonesian television and horror movies. He began his supernatural healing practice in the capital of Central Java Semarang there are five. When customers were attractive women, they would be asked to undress while he pretended to be possessed by ancient spirits requiring sex to work their magic.

The end customer was a married woman who plans to open a beauty salon and wanted to ensure his company would be successful. A friend recommended him to contact Budiyono, who boasted that he could teach him good fortune through a special ritual.

Budiyono took the woman to a rented room to administer its "magic". First, he read prayers and incantations. Then the patient was instructed to remove his clothes, lie down and cover with a white sheet "magic". The dukun then be claimed contact powerful spirits capable of granting wishes. He said the Prince of the South Sea would use his body to copulate with women.

The woman resisted and later reported the incident to the police. The agents set a trap by inviting Budiyono to a salon to perform a ritual. He was arrested on November 16 Police then searched his home in Bugangan, East Semarang, and confiscated numerous accessories, such as the "magic" stones, beads, daggers, fabrics and sheets. Budiyono remains in custody.

Four other married women aged 27 to 35, later complained they were also sexually assaulted by the same dukun.

One victim, identified only as D. N., went to Budiyono to be cured of an odor problem. After undressing, she was sprinkled with flower water, and massaged from head to toe. The dukun said his illness was caused by an invisible creature inside his body and he could be eliminated by ritual copulation. On this occasion, he claimed to be possessed by the spirit of Tedja Arya, a former Islamic preacher, eager for sex. The woman consented.

D. N. says she paid a   of Rp.1.5 million for a series of treatments and was repeatedly assaulted. Other patients were charged between Rp.50,000 to Rp.700,000 for a session.

One woman refused to have sex with the dukun, so he led his treatment by caresses and lick her breasts and vagina.

Another victim said Budiyono she could not have sex with him because she was menstruating, so he asked her to provide nude photos of her -even, explaining that he would lead his treatment "long distance".

Budiyono told police that his molestation of women was an accidental side effect of his body being possessed by magical spirits. "I came down of a sage. At the time, the spirit of Prince Arya Tedja entered my body. As he arrived, I was semi-conscious, "he said.

The police suspect there are more victims. Budiyono could be charged fraud under section 378 of the Criminal Code, which carries a maximum term of four years in prison. He may also be charged with lewd acts.

Budiyono boosted its income selling fake antiques magical, like daggers and precious stones, for rp.1 million Rp.1.5 million. Police said that the daggers came in fact from an old iron fence.

the dukun claimed he could cure diseases using stones mustika. If true, these are gallstones or bezoars. bezoar are small indigestible objects hardened trapped in the gastrointestinal tract animals and humans. A type of bezoar can neutralize arsenic contaminated solutions, but it can not cure diseases. Bezoars are often caused by hair or unripe persimmon fruit consumption and some can be broken by drinking Coca Cola.

Confidence tricksters posing as New Age healers claim that bezoars, especially snakes and chickens, can improve luck, sexual prowess, health, wealth and the success of the game. These claims, of course, is nonsense.

Budiyono also used "elephant sperm stones" to treat female patients. Crystallised jumbo jism is marketed as being able to create wealth, cure disease and infertility, and eliminate stress. Again, this is absolute garbage.

scams involving sex and stones are common. In August, a dukun in South Sumatra convinced a college student that her uterus contained a stone, which could be withdrawn if she had sex with him. After sex, dukun stole the motorcycle of women. The best remedy for these scams is a healthy dose of skepticism.
