13 February 2015 marked the first anniversary of the eruption of Mount Kelud in East Java. This day reminds us of the tragedy that took away the houses, animals and people farms - which were their livelihood. In addition, rising temperatures caused the vegetation of the surrounding areas of Mount Kelud to be damaged. The plants were covered with ash and lava, causing them to wither and die. In an effort to restore the lost vegetation, CEO MesaStila, Mr. Isa Ismail Rauf, has launched a program to plant 1,000 trees in the surrounding areas of the resort. He admits that the impact of this program on the restoration of the environment is still on a small scale, but it hopes that other hotels and institutions will follow their footsteps.
