13 February 2015 marked the first anniversary of the eruption of Mount Kelud in East Java. This day reminds us of the tragedy that took away the houses, animals and people farms - which were their livelihood. This tragedy forced them to move to a safer place and leave everything behind. respiratory health problem has also become one of their main problems, as the smoke from the eruption darkened the region.

The event disaster also caused the travel industry in Indonesia, especially in Java, to suffer. After the eruption, volcanic ash disrupted both routes of national and international flights, causing cancellations of travel plans, reducing the number of hotel bookings, travel warnings from some neighboring countries, and closing tourist destinations such as the Borobudur temple.

In addition, rising temperatures caused the vegetation of the surrounding areas of Mount Kelud to be damaged. The plants were covered with ash and lava, causing them to wither and die. In an effort to restore the lost vegetation, CEO MesaStila, Mr. Isa Ismail Rauf, has launched a program to plant 1,000 trees in the surrounding areas of the resort. He admits that the impact of this program on the restoration of the environment is still on a small scale, but it hopes that other hotels and institutions will follow their footsteps.
