Name: Sutejo
Age: 62

Sutejo fleet around the rivers of south Jakarta on a mattress in blue foam allows him to collect materials, mainly plastic items and discarded it sells to a recycling company. On a good day Sutejo wins Rp.50,000 rupiah but some days it only takes home Rp.10,000.

His greatest achievement in life has been two children in high school after his wife tragically died giving birth to their third son. Her daughter is now 23 years old and is the principal of a high school and his eldest son, aged 25, works at a car dealership. His youngest is only 12 years old and about to go to high school.

What he likes most of his job is the opportunity to contribute to a cleaner environment through recycling and it enjoys the freedom of working for himself, but after doing this work for 1987, he became very tired at once.

Rainy days are a blessing for Sutejo that these days he collects many materials as they wash over the rivers in his waiting hands.

He told his children that he is a construction worker, as he does not know it collects waste, something he is embarrassed.

While he believes he has a hard enough life, he is happy in his heart that his children have been successful and is very proud of that.
